Cooling Castle entrance and barn
Cooling Castle entrance and barn
Cooling Castle was built in the 1380s on the edge of the Cooling Marshes, to defend the approaches to London along the Thames. Today part of the castle is a private residence (Jools Holland at present). The gatehouse can be seen from the road. The nearby barn is a popular wedding location. Grade I listed. LinkExternal link
