Bottom right is a memorial to the Royal Air Force - WWII
Parts of the church exist from the 13th-century, some from the 15th. In 1741, damage to the nave and aisles was caused by a gale, which blew down a spire that formerly crowned the southwest tower. They had to be completely rebuilt.
