A copy of the original Grace family headstone which has been preserved and is on display in the nearby Grace Darling museum.

The text on the headstone reads: "IN MEMORY OF THOMASIN DARLING WIFE OF WILLIAM DARLING OF THE FARN ISLANDS WHO DIED OCT 16TH 1848 AGED 74 YEARS.
Also of GRACE HORSLEY DARLING their Daughter who died Oct 20th 1842 Aged 26 Years.
Also of JOB HORSLEY DARLING their Son who died Dec 6th 1830 Aged 20 Years.
The above WILLIAM DARLING late of Longstone Light and the Beloved Husband of THOMASIN DARLING who died at Bamburgh May 28th 1865 Aged 79 Years.
Also of THOMASIN DARLING their Daughter who died Aug 13th 1886 aged 78 Years."
