taken 13 years ago, near to Radcliffe, Bury, England

Radcliffe Viaduct, River Irwell
Radcliffe Viaduct, River Irwell
Originally constructed to carry the East Lancashire railway to Bury, the viaduct and a series of bridges now carries the Metrolink tramway over the River Irwell and around the eastern side of Radcliffe.

Here Metrolink tram no 3002, a Bombardier M5000 in the yellow and silver livery, is seen crossing the viaduct on its journey towards Radcliffe and Bury. The view is from the footbridge near Pioneer Mills.
