Mermaid Street, Rye
Rye is a lovely old town with dozens if not hundreds of interesting buildings. It has several charming old streets, of which this one, Mermaid Street is probably the most picturesque with ancient houses and cobbles. The Mermaid Inn from which the street takes its name can be seen on the right with its stencil sign hanging over the pavement.
