Viewed from the top of the castle keep. Even in 1970 ('Get Carter' days) the rail layout was complex; yet this was before the addition of the Tyne-and-Wear Metro (1980) and electrification of the East Coast Main Line (1985). Virgil would no doubt be minded of the piling of Ossa upon Pelion.
