One of the test buoys developed by the European Marine Energy Centre (EMEC) to assist research in harnessing renewable energy from the marine environment around the Orkney Islands HY4408 : Test Buoy for EMEC Wave Scale Test Site, Scapa Flow
The buoy has recently been deployed to the Nursery Wave Site in Scapa Flow allowing scale tests of novel wave energy generation devices in relatively calm water.
