Cast iron corner protector on a wall at Conway Mill. One of at least three I spotted, it has no visible foundry mark.

Usually metal attachments, often conical or spherical, dating mainly from the era of the horse cart and the early motor lorry. Many cast by local foundries.

Conway Mill, Belfast

Former flax spinning mill on Conway Street in Belfast. Closed in 1975/76, the mill has since been quite magnificently preserved and refurbished to provide space for retail units and resident artists.
