NJ9405 : Aberdeen Railway Station This is the Joint Station to Aberdonians. It was built 1913-16, architect JA Parker, but unfortunately for the Granite City, it is sandstone. "Joint" comes from the two companies whose railways met here in 1867 - the Great North of Scotland Railway and the Scottish North Eastern Railway. Inside, the station has a fine, glass roof. The country bus station is outside the railway station but few town buses connect here.
