Portballintrae harbour (elevated view)
Portballintrae harbour (elevated view)
A small harbour on the northern side of Port Ballintrae. It seems to have been built in the late 17th century and once had its own customs station. Now mainly recreational it’s best known as the place where, in 1967, Robert Sténuit landed the artefacts from the Spanish Armada galleon “Girona” LinkExternal link. The view is from the Beach Road.
