Aberystwyth grits - faultline across cliff and foreshore
A fault separates two sections of cliff just north of Constitution Hill, Aberystwyth. The crumbly texture of the rock in the angle between the headland on the right and the cliff in the background is a result of the fault. The two sections of rock have been rotated relative to each other during the folding process that formed the coastal cliffs. The fault line is also clearly visible on the ground

The coastal stretch north of Aberystwyth towards Clarach is known for its exposed turbidite beds
