SD3984 : Trees above High Newton reservoir

taken 12 years ago, near to Ayside, Cumbria, England

Trees above High Newton reservoir
Trees above High Newton reservoir
The CRoW access land north of the reservoir is unconnected to the surfaced track to the south. However, good sense and good will have prevailed and there is a concessionary path from there which skirts the reservoir past the outlet and dam - the anglers seem like a friendly bunch too. If only other 'access islands' had similarly sensible arrangements. Despite the warm September sun the trees have largely lost their leaves - here endeth the summer?
