Chimney stack of the Trelonk Brickworks
The brickworks operated from 1891 to 1907. The bricks were made from the china clay and other sediment that had washed down from the upper river Fal where there were many china clay works in the catchment area. With a high china clay content the bricks were highly resistant to heat and were used in fire places, chimneys and furnaces.
