The Electric Brae Experience
The Electric Brae Experience
A motorist tries out the Electric Brae. His car had just come to a halt and was starting to roll backwards, appearing to go back up the slope. This famous optical illusion attracts many visitors to South Ayrshire. The most famous one was Dwight D Eisenhower who made a brief visit to Ayrshire in 1959. He was amazed to see his limousine rolling back up the slope. For more images, see NS2513 : The Electric Brae Experienced Again & NS2513 : Congestion on the Electric Brae
