Grand Union Canal, looking north towards Salford Junction. Industrial buildings on the right have their frontage in Adderley Road, and include the Saltley Industrial Centre.

Travelling south (towards Bordesley Junction), the flight of five Garrison Locks allows a rise of 34ft 5in (10·3 metres). This is the third lock up (or even down!) of the flight.
