Trompe l'oeil (2), Swanage, Dorset
The artwork was carried out by local artists to highlight the deterioration of this building, reportedly knocked up by Canadian troops at the end of the Second World War awaiting demobilisation. The work has been in existence for at least five years and the building left empty since the time of the first Gulf War. This image by Stuart Cankett SZ0378 : Pier Head (Purbeck Arts Week) contains much information on the background to it. There are several other images of the building here Link There is at least one degree of separation between this image and the one to be accessed here Link
