SK5968 : Thynghowe

taken 9 years ago, near to Meden Vale, Nottinghamshire, Great Britain

Top of Thynghowe (shown on OS maps as Hanger Hill) image shows two of the three parish boundary stones. English Heritage describe this as a possible Norse 'thing' or moot mound and may have been the site of a Saxon Hundred meeting place and prehistoric burial mound.
