St Augustine's church, Snave
Grade II* Listed
Dating from the 13th Century onwards, it has a western tower of 14th/15th C. with battlemented parapet. There is a broad aisleless nave of 13th C. and chancel with north chapel (with fireplace, as once used as a schoolroom), now the vestry.
There is a 15th C. Sedile and Piscina on the south wall of the chancel. The splendid roof has three tie beams and crown posts. The present font is victorian.
The clear glass windows and whitewashed walls make it light and airy inside.
The church was declared redundant in 1983 although one service per year is still held here.
