He was an early tutor of Stalybridge naturalist Jethro Tinker to whom another blue plaque SJ9799 : Blue plaque: Jethro Tinker (1788-1871) was unveiled in November 1995 on the other side of the Millbrook entrance SJ9799 : Stalybridge Country Park to Stalybridge Country Park.
