Standing on The Fen Causeway near Grandford, March
Public access along Grandford Drove ends where the road splits into 2 farm tracks, to the left is Rookery Farm and to the right is Infield's Farm. The western end of Grandford Drove follows the line of The Fen Causeway an ancient road built by the Romans to cross the Fens, which would have been primarily reed beds 2,000 years ago. It ran from Peterborough to Denver in Norfolk linking East Anglia with The Great North Road, now the A1.
