Simpson Memorial
Simpson Memorial
On the path up Colley Hill, on one of the medieval routes out of Reigate over the North Downs, leading on to Walton Heath.

It is made from pink granite and the inscription on the south face reads:

"Feb 1910 This part of Colley Hill was given to Reigate in memory of George Simpson Captain the 5th Battalion The Queen's Royal West Surrey Regiment commanding the Reigate Detachment A and B Companies of that Corps by his mother".

Colley Hill is the area of downland behind the memorial, with the line of the North Downs beyond.
