Metrolink works site
Metrolink works site
Several years ago there were some lovely semi-detached houses here on Manchester Road. Then the Metrolink extension to Ashton was announced and the houses were demolished. For a few year the site lay desolate but eventually as work on the extension as far as Droylsden went ahead the land was used as a works unit. Eventually, when the section from Droylsden to Ashton is complete, there'll be a tram stop here. Houses in Droylsden Road can be seen in the background.
