Toothill Hall, Huddersfield Road, Rastrick
A house built c.1823 for Thomas Firth. It has a front of ashlar (smooth faced) stone and a Roman Doric doorway. This building replaced an older one, and some parts at the rear are said to be of the 16C. The site is probably much older, as a 'de Totehill' was mentioned in a court roll of 1272 and this family were one of the principal landowners of Rastrick for several centuries. The older part at the rear is now Toothill Court.
