Interior of St Paul's church, Newington
This Anglican church on Lorrimore Square was built in 1959-60, replacing one destroyed in the second world war. The architects being H G Coulter and John Wimbleton. Its unusual constructional form of a reinforced concrete frame supporting a pre-cast timber and steel roof, and coloured windows using the "dalles de verre" technique, led to it being listed grade 2 in 2001 (list entry number 1389258).
