Drumlins, Ballymorran Bay, Strangford Lough
The view is towards Ballymorran Bay J5260 : Ballymorran Bay, Strangford Lough, at about 2˝ hours after low water Killyleagh, from a height of about 100ft, on the Ballymorran Road, to the east of Killinchy.
It shows the “basket of eggs” drumlin country which is typical of this part of east Down, on the western side of Strangford Lough.
This side of the lough has many inlets and creeks along the shore.
Drumlin country

In simple (non-technical) words, drumlins are rounded hills, usually of stones and clays deposited by glaciers during the ice age. They form the “basket of eggs” landscape found in parts of Cos Down and Armagh.
