Trig point of Miltonhead
Trig point of Miltonhead
The area about the trig point of Miltonhead had been made into something of a memorial to Major-general William Roy, whose birthplace (Miltonhead) stood at the location. William Roy's military map of Scotland led to the founding of the Ordnance Survey - information given on the bronze plate affixed to the face of the pillar.
