The Plumb House, Milnrow
The Plumb House, Milnrow
The Plumb House (seen here at dusk) is an old farmstead on the outskirts of Milnrow, in the Metropolitan Borough of Rochdale, Greater Manchester, England. Although it sits on a hill-top location, it is very secluded - detached from the rest of Milnrow and Rochdale by an old country lane (probably unadopted; pictured), bog, swamp, heath and scrub..

Looking at older maps, my guess is that the building had something to do with Milnrow Sewage Works (now a scrap yard belonging to Monarch Metals/European Metal Recycling), hence the name Plumb House.
