taken 15 years ago, near to Sandy, Central Bedfordshire, England

Sandy railway station, Bedfordshire
Sandy railway station, Bedfordshire
Opened in 1850 by the Great Northern Railway on its line from Stevenage to Peterborough. View north towards Huntingdon and Peterborough. Between 1862 and 1968, before the London-bound platform was relocated further right to where we see it today, there was an adjacent station on the far right of the image serving the Bedford to Cambridge route, which had belonged to the London and North Western Railway.
