SS9567 : Flood flow - Llantwit Major

Flood flow - Llantwit Major
Flood flow - Llantwit Major
The Afon Col-huw flows through Llantwit Major and a small cwm to culminate on a boulder strewn beach where it flows into the Bristol Channel. Because of the high tidal range here the distance from the shore to low tide line is quite far and, particularly after heavy rainfall, a wide flow can form. That is the case here where the incoming tide is far out beyond the line of rocks.
