Disused Railway Bridge LIV3 41
The bridge carried the former Leeds New Line from Heaton Lodge Junction, Mirfield to Farnley Junction, Leeds, which was an alternative route between Huddersfield and Leeds. The line used the topography of the West Riding valleys to cross the watershed between the rivers Calder and Aire. Here in Cleckheaton, the line climbs along the north-eastern side of the Spen Valley.
