The British Pilot
The British Pilot
The pub name describes a nautical rather than an aerial pilot since the River Thames (or the mud flats thereof) is only a few hundred yards away. This pub was intended to be part of an holiday resort to rival Southend-on-Sea just across the water. LinkExternal link But it never came off.
