Hyperbolic Paraboloid
Hyperbolic Paraboloid
Former Little Chef by the A1 at Markham Moor Link , reprieved from demolition for road improvements with grade II listing in 2012, now sadly closed, boarded up and deteriorating.
Built as a petrol station in 1960-61, the distinctive hyperbolic paraboloid canopy is by the celebrated Lincoln architect Sam Scorer. It was converted to a Happy Eater roadside restaurant in the 1980s by Norman Tomson RIBA and later became a Little Chef. LinkExternal link
