Old and New on Stamford Hill

The milestone shown in TF0819 : 11 ½ From Colsterworth and TF0819 : Old Milepost is rather interesting. It is of cast iron, and bolted to a concrete post which bears an OSGB Bench Mark.

In the distance is the modern sign board, which still points to Colsterworth. Colsterworth is where the Bourne-Melton road (the modern A151) crosses the Great North road, and the modern A1.
