I saw the name at the site, but it is not on the old 1:2500 maps. There was a footbridge carrying a footpath from Whitby to Ruswarp over the railway, and there are still two abutments that suggest a timber or iron bridge. Christmas Day was mostly dull and cloudy here, but the sun poked through briefly just after midday.
