Lee Valley White Water Centre

The Lee Valley White Water Centre was built for the Canoe Slalom events at the London 2012 Olympics. It was completed in April 2011, the first of the purpose built sites to be finished. The main course is 300m long with a 5.5m drop, with a 160m long, 1.6m drop training course. For the five days of Olympic competition from 29 July to 2 August, temporary seating for 12,000 spectators was provided.

As well as seeing continued use by the public, it will be hosting the 2015 world championships, the first major event for a 2012 Olympic site after the Olympics.
