The Lee Navigation is a canalised river incorporating the River Lea (River Lee). It runs from Hertford Castle Weir to the River Thames at Bow Creek; its first lock is Hertford Lock and its last Bow Locks.

Thames Sailing Barges

A flat bottomed sailing boat, common during the 19th and early 20th century. Some are still in operation today. The design was developed for the shallow muddy conditions of the River Thames.
