SD7884 : Pile of Stones on top of Wold Fell

taken 6 years ago, near to Stone House, Cumbria, Great Britain

Pile of Stones on top of Wold Fell
Pile of Stones on top of Wold Fell
The 'pile' is more like a small cairn with one large flake of limestone jammed upright. Today, it was surrounded by a herd of Belted Galloway cattle who probably use it as a scratching post. In the background is a cloud-topped Whernside.
