Floods in the valley of the River Cuckmere as seen looking southwards from High and Over
This view from the vantage point of High and Over shows flooding in the valley of the River Cuckmere. Cattle are grazing on the higher better drained slopes above the flood plain. Beyond Exceat Bridge the straight line of the man made river channel contrasts with the natural meanders.
