The left wing of the Trinity Alms Houses
These handsome almshouses were built in 1695 to house "decayed masters and commanders of ships and their widows". The man responsible for organising the project was Capt. Henry Mudd.
I was the last publican at 'The Pride of Stepney' I purchased the freehold in 1998 and changed the name back to It's original name 'Clare Hall' It was used more as a night-club in the 2 years i was licensee, i sold up and left to become a daddy.
