The bridge is not used anymore since it passes over the Beverley Brook (passing through the deer park between Roehampton and Kingston) and heads into Richmond Park Golf Course.

Beverley Brook
Beverley Brook is a minor urban river about 14 km long located in south-west London. It rises at Cuddington Recreation Park in Worcester Park, flows through Motspur Park, New Malden, Wimbledon Common, Richmond Park and Barnes. It then joins the River Thames near Putney Bridge at Barn Elms.
