The race, part of University rag week, is also shown in Link , and the raft shown is passing under Kingsgate Bridge, which was possibly the finishing line. Its eastern support can be seen on the right; I've left the image awry to show more of it. See NZ2742 : Kingsgate Bridge and cathedral, Durham, 1967. Dunelm House, in the background, is the University student union building, completed three years earlier after four years in construction.
