The end of Berwick Breakwater
The end of Berwick Breakwater
Looking towards the lighthouse at the end of Berwick Breakwater. A major programme of repairs has recently been completed on the structure including substantial work on the wall of the breakwater repairing damage done to the stonework by the action of water in the river over the years. The works also included resurfacing the concrete on the walkway seen on the left side of the breakwater. The lighthouse was repainted separately during the summer of 2011.
