Opened in 1883 by the Great Western Railway on its line from Bala, this station closed in 1960. It was reopened in 1982, now serving as the terminus for the former LNWR Conway Valley line from Llandudno Junction, and giving interchange with the newly reopened Ffestiniog Railway.
