SN1330 : Preseli Bluestones
taken 12 years ago, near to Mynachlog-Ddu, Pembrokeshire/Sir Benfro, Great Britain

Preseli Bluestones
Stonehenge was built with bluestones from the Preseli hills of Pembrokeshire and there is still debate as to whether they were quarried in the west of Wales or were glacial erratics deposited by the last ice age much closer to Stonehenge. This is not quite as old as it might seem as it's the memorial to the Welsh language poet Waldo Williams and the stones were carried here by helicopter!
