In the turret on Dunstall Castle
After many years of neglect Dunstall Castle, a folly designed by Robert Adam in 1766/7 for the 6th Earl of Coventry, was acquired by the National Trust and restored. The restoration work included rebuilding the observation turret which had collapsed many years ago. Here the internal brickwork and the castellations of the restored tower can be seen.
