TQ2597 : Pagitt's, Monken Hadley

taken 10 years ago, near to Monken Hadley, Barnet, Great Britain

Pagitt's, Monken Hadley
Pagitt's, Monken Hadley
Flint-faced Gothick cottages just south of the churchyard. The slate plaque to the right of the front door reads as follows:

'This plaque commemorates the Tercentenary of the Charity founded by Justinian & Anthonina Pagitt on third October 1678'. Link

The position (close to the churchyard) and style are both typical of almshouses - and I assume they still serve that function.
