The Kinnel Water in flood
The Kinnel Water in flood
The scene shown here is in complete contrast to how it looked less than 24 hours previously. See NY0884 : Winter by the Kinnel Water. Rapidly thawing snow, coupled with torrential rain, meant a lot of water which had nowhere else to go! The Kinnel Water is prone to flooding here, but for it to rise as high as it did on this occasion is unusual, though not unprecedented.
