Winter near Lochmaben
Grazing land close to the Kinnel Water, near Lochmaben. The old beech tree which stands in isolation on top of the hill is a landmark seen from some distance all around. The scene shows the most substantial snowfall of the winter at that time. Less than 24 hours later, after a rapid thaw, it had all gone.
