NY0884 : The Kinnel Water in flood

taken 11 years ago, near to Templand, Dumfries And Galloway, Scotland

The Kinnel Water in flood
The Kinnel Water in flood
A rapid thaw of lying snow coupled with torrential rain caused the Kinnel Water, near Lochmaben, to flood. So much water on top of already waterlogged ground had nowhere else to go! For a view taken less than 24 hours previously showing the same tree and gateway see NY0884 : Snow and the Kinnel Water, which will give an indication of the depth of the water.
