SY8690 : River Piddle

taken 7 years ago, near to Lane End, Dorset, Great Britain

River Piddle
River Piddle
This is one of several channels of the river close to Woodland. From the straightness and regularity of the un-flooded channel this would appear to be a leat to supply water perhaps to a former mill at Hyde Farm. The river can be seen overflowing into the field on the right.
